FIRST-time buyers and the low paid are being priced out of the housing market in the North West, according to the GMB union.
In Bury, the average salary is around £23,528, with the average house price at 5.8 times more than that at £137,285.
For England and Wales, the average annual salary for full-time workers is £28,740, with the average house price 6.8 times higher, at £197,201.
