I FEEL I must disagree with Cllr Johnston (December 15) regarding the buses.
If the buses are dirty, then that is the fault of the travelling public. The buses don't get dirty by themselves.
As for the services, I speak for Great Lever, not one of the best routes, but we who live here are grateful that we can get from A to B.
You can bet your boots that if a service is taken off at peak times, it will be a 571 or 572. Why is it never a 19?
Yes, a Routemaster would be welcome in the area. Remember the excitement when we received the Atlanteans in the '60s?
Let's give the ratepayers the opportunity to decide for themselves.
After all, a poor service is better than no service.
