At the recent AGM, it was voted that teams will continue to consist of ten male players for the 2006 season.

Hopwood Unionists had two teams accepted into the League, with Prestwich Liberal Club and Bailey Street entering additional teams, providing a total of 32 teams and three divisions for next season.

Meadowcroft tendered their resignation due to a shortage of players.

Hopwood Unionists are welcomed into the League and with their squad including several County bowlers, it will further raise the quality of bowling.

Allowing for the additional fixtures, it is still the intention to create free weeks for singles League Competitions, with this probably resulting in a couple of extra League matches being played on Fridays.

The League appreciate the need to liaise with neighbouring Leagues in an endeavour to avoid conflicts of interest and Steve Blaymire will again be our co-ordinator.

The next delegates meeting will be held at the Church Institute, Bury New Road at 8pm, on Monday, February 6.
