A MAN allegedly ran naked across Bury Football Club's pitch in the middle of a match despite freezing temperatures for a bet.
Philip John Stapleton, aged 26, of Ruislip Avenue, Collyhurst, is to appear before magistrates on January 16.
He is accused of exposing himself and unlawfully intruding on the pitch during the Boxing Day match between Bury and Grimsby at Gigg Lane.
The alleged incident took place a few minutes after the start of the second half.
Trespassing on a designated football pitch without lawful authority could lead to a match banning order.
Stapleton was remanded on unconditional bail.
