AN ELDERLY woman has died after being involved in a motorway smash three days after Christmas.
Eight vehicles including a lorry were involved in the accident on the M6 between junctions 25 and 26 at Wigan.
Seven people received minor injuries and an 84-year-old woman suffered serious leg and head injuries.
She was taken to Wigan Royal Infirmary where she died on Monday.
