LIKE everyone else, I have been to Christmas parties and felt good to be among old friends.
What spoilt the night was a column in a newspaper which I saw when I sat down for my supper.
The column was headed 'Britain will soon be paying tax to Brussels'.
In other words, the EU is still raising its ugly head.
I have not yet met anyone in favour of the Euro and the EU.
If all these poorer countries join the EU 'gravy train' they will drag us down. I cannot see the EU countries doing us any favours.
The ubiquitous ring of golden stars should have a hammer and sickle at the centre.
Ian Upton's letter about St Lucia was bang on.
It's due to the EU that we are dogged by political correctness, thus taking away freedom of speech which was vehemently fought for.
All the EU is good for is to divide and conquer.
