CANNABIS with a street value of up to £300,000 has been found at a business premises in Ramsbottom.
Police officers seized more than 1,500 plants from the former Waterside Mill and Peel Bridge Mill in Kenyon Street on Tuesday.
The drugs were discovered when planning officers from Bury Council and Ramsbottom police officers searched the premises following complaints from locals about fly-tipping.
Rent-a-skip firm AWR own the site which was used for waste disposal until the company went bust two weeks ago.
A police investigation has been launched.
