A DOG owner has denied allowing his pitbulls out in public without a muzzle.
Gary Charnock, aged 25, of Stanworth Avenue, Breightmet, faces four charges relating to his two dogs on two occasions.
He pleaded not guilty at Bolton Magistrates Court and was bailed until his trial date, September 15.
Charnock was convicted in July 2007 of owning the pitbulls, a banned breed of dangerous dog.
Magistrates decided not to destroy the dogs, however, instead putting them on the index of dangerous dogs.
The index carries a number of strict conditions, one of which is that the dogs must not be allowed out in public without a muzzle.
