SUFFERERS of the muscle wasting disease which ended the career of former Radcliffe snooker ace John Spencer are being invited to a medical conference to be held in Bolton.

The conference on the disease Myasthenia Gravis, which will include a presentation from expert Dr Jon Sussman, a consultant neurologist at Hope Hospital in Salford, is being held at the Holiday Inn, Beaumont Road, Bolton, on October 21.

Snooker legend, John, who died earlier this month, was forced to cut short his career because the disease caused him double vision.

Part of the proceeds of his autobiography, Out Of The Blue, Into The Black, are going to the charity the Myasthenia Gravis Association.

For more information about the book, or the conference, contact the charity's local secretary Tony Davies on 01204 459605.
