Children found themselves making management decisions when they swapped their Bolton school for the office.
Pupils from Lostock Primary School were invited to help choose a name for a new luxury housing development in Plodder Lane, Bolton, by North-west builder Cambrian Homes when they visited the company's offices in Manchester.
Names suggested by the pupils included Butterfield Barns, Hill Top View and, a particular favourite, Dairy Milk Farm.
After much deliberation, Cambrian chose Butterfield Hall Farm as the name for the new development.
As a thank you to the children for their participation, Cambrian will be working to develop a walled garden and seating area in the school grounds.
Managing director Michael Blake said: "We are excited about the new development and wanted to get the local community involved.
"It's always a struggle to come up with names so this was a great way for us to get some help and for the children and the school to benefit."
