A NEW study has revealed that eating plenty of oily fish can help prevent the spread of prostate cancer.
The study was carried out by the Paterson Institute of Cancer Research in Manchester.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK, with more than 30,100 new cases a year with one-in 14 men being diagnosed with the disease.
Cancer Research UK is warning that most men are unaware they have the disease.
Prostate cancer risk increases with age. It is estimated that about one-third of men over 50 have a small focus of cancer in the prostate, rising to 50 per cent by the age of 80.
