A DRY cleaners has helped raise £7,000 for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
Johnson Cleaners, in Burnden Park Retail Park, Manchester Road, held a fundraising day for Lung Cancer Awareness month.
The foundation works in a variety of ways to reach the goal of defeating lung cancer.
Johnson Cleaners managing director, Paul Ogle said: “We are delighted to raise such a significant amount of money for a worthwhile cause.
“The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is a tremendous charity and we are pleased this money can go towards fighting this tragic disease.”
The foundation funds research into the early detection of lung cancer, which will hopefully lead to early diagnosis and save thousands of lives.
It also offers support for those affected by lung cancer, support for smokers who want to quit, and guidance for children and young people.
