ELITE LEAGUE ICE HOCKEY:
The Elite League has told Cardiff Devils' Brad Voth that the 2+10 minute misconduct checking-to-the-head penalty he received against the Sheffield Steelers on Saturday 11th December 2010 has now been upgraded to a match penalty.
The incident was viewed by the referee after the game, who determined that the 2+10 was an incorrect call and in fact should be a match penalty, which under the Elite League suspension tariffs is an automatic three-game suspension.
Voth will miss Cardiff’s next three matches with immediate effect.
