BURNLEY midfielder Chris McCann is not on Wanderers’ summer radar, The Bolton News understands.

It had been rumoured that the 23-year-old playmaker, whose contract is due to expire at Turf Moor, was considering a three-year offer from his former boss Owen Coyle.

McCann was part of the Clarets side that gained promotion to the top flight two seasons ago and remained a firstteam regular under Coyleuntil the manager opted to link up with the Whites last January.

He has struggled recentlywith injury as Burnley failed to make an immediate return to the big time But while midfield reinforcements are expected in the coming months, the Irishman is not believed tobe on the shortlist of names currentlybeing discussed.
