A MAN has been remanded in custody amid allegations he drove at a group of pedestrians at a North Wales holiday camp. David James Brooks, aged 29, of Garstang Avenue in Breightmet, is charged with wounding with intent, common assault, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, taking a car without consent, and driving without insurance.

It follows an incident at Presthavan Sands Holiday Park at Gronant near Prestatyn on August 26 when it is alleged a black Vauxhall Corsa was driven at a group of pedestrians and two of them were struck. Brooks appeared from custody at Mold Crown Court at a preliminary hearing.

Judge Niclas Parry remanded Brooks in custody until November when he will be asked to enter pleas.
