THE country’s top funnymen — including Al Murray, Omid Djalili and Bolton’s own Dave Spikey — will be taking to the stage in the town to ensure plenty of laughs this autumn and winter.

Kicking off the run of 10 comedy acts at the Albert Halls is Kevin Precious on Thursday, October 13, with his Not Appropriate tour, with tales of his former life as a teacher.

Edinburgh Fringe festival favourite, The Boy With Tape on his Face, will delight audiences with his silent humour on Saturday, October 15, followed by multi-award-winning TV and movie star Omid Djalili with Tour of Duty on Wednesday, October 26.

Bolton comic Dave Spikey will return to the halls on Saturday, October 29, with his Words Don’t Come Easy tour and a unique evening of stories, songs and silliness will ensue with Tony Hawks on Wednesday, November 2.

Controversial comedian and magician Jerry Sadowitz will prove whether he lives up to his bad boy reputation on Sunday, November 13, while one of Britain’s bestloved comic commentators, Andy Parsons, will be telling us why he is Gruntled on Friday, November 18.

The Joker, Daniel Sloss, started stand-up at just 16 years old and has since starred in Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Comedy Rocks, 8/10 Cats and Mock the Week.

Now aged 21, Daniel will entertain Bolton fans on Thursday, December 8.

Pub landlord Al Murray has confirmed a performance of Barrel of Fun EXTRA on Thursday, November 24. Bolton Council’s Executive member for adult services, Cllr Sufrana Bashir-Ismail, said: “This season we have really packed in the comedy shows and have attracted a host of big names.

“Many of the acts are only doing selected venues in the region, so if people want to catch their favourite comedian then they should come to Bolton to do so.”

The TFI Comedy Club is usually held on the third Friday of the month.
