YOUTH Club members have been helping a Bolton mosque to raise funds for the Pakistani earthquake appeal.
Members of the Lowton and Golborne Youth Club handed over a cheque for £350 at the Zakariyya Central Mosque, in Peace Street, Bolton.
The money was raised through a Love Music, Hate Racism dance night which was held at Lowton Civic Hall.
It will be used by the mosque to buy essential supplies for those suffering in the aftermath of the huge earthquake that shook Pakistan a year ago, More than 80,000 people are thought to have died in the quake, which left about 3.3 million people injured or homeless.
Youth club member, Stacey Molyneux, aged 17, was among those who attended the mosque on Monday.
She said: "It was a really interesting experience and it was great to find out more about the Muslim religion."
