FIREFIGHTERS are appealing for people to make sure they lock motorbikes and scooters in a garage.
Crews were called out to Foxendale Court, Great Lever, at 9.30pm on Monday after arsonists set fire to a scooter which had been left outside.
Luckily the two ground floor flats nearby were not damaged in the fire.
Crew manager Steve Jordan said: "We would urge people to make sure if they have a vehicle that it is securely locked away and if possible in a garage because there is always the risk of fire spreading."
