CHILDREN in Bolton are being asked to help keep animals safe during the firework season.
Retailer Pets at Home has teamed up with animal charity The Blue Cross to launch a competition for youngsters to design firework safety posters.
One young artist will win £100 worth of goodies for their pet and ten runners-up will win £20 in vouchers. According to The Blue Cross the firework season leads to pets going missing as they are terrified by the noise.
Competition forms are from Pets at Home, Trinity Street junction, Bolton and Middlebrook Retail Park. Closing date is October 22.
