PHIL Hutchinson smashed a superb hat-trick as Dobbies A enjoyed a comfortable 4-0 home win against struggling De La Salle.

Brian Howarth added a fourth as the table-toppers maintained their 100 per cent start to the season.

Turton are Dobbies nearest challengers in second spot after a 0-0 draw with the Colliers Rest but Turton, and most of the other teams, have games in hand over the leaders, so their eight-point advantage at the top of the table could diminish in the coming weeks.

Dobbies C had a great 6-0 win over a lacklustre Garswood United with Kojder bagging a hat-trick and Clarke scored twice. Daten AFC came out on top of their local derby with Newmarket thanks to a brace from Robbie Sopelsa in a 4-1 victory.

The Bay Mare Strollers returned to form in Division Two with a battling 3-2 win over leaders Dobbies B, but they had to fight back from 2-0 down before an Andy Deardon double secured maximum points late on.

Dobbies remain top but the Strollers are now just three points behind with a game in hand.

Walkden Fives moved into third place with an impressive 6-1 demolition of The Plough, who were competitive until late on in the game. Two goals apiece from Des Morris and Barry Edge finally killing their resistance as Walkden got their season back on track.

Park Wanderers beat the Bowling Green 2-0 in a tight game and Walkden Wrecks bounced back with a 5-1 victory over ICO Pal FC, but they had to come from 1-0 down at half-time before a Chapman hat-trick secured the points for them.

After waiting a year for their first win last week, along came another one for Ram United who beat Pennington 1-0. Ram scored early and Pennington piled on the pressure, but could not break through a resilient Rams defence.

Ainsworth A returned to winning ways in Division Three after beating their B team 4-1. Mike Hamer hit a brace and man-of-the-match Alan Hilton was also on target in the convincing victory.

Real Victoria moved into second spot after with a 4-0 win over Bolton Wyresdale. Rob Worley bagged a couple, including a 30-yard screamer. Breightmet United came out on top of tight game with Golborne Parkside thanks to goals from Papaloizou and Drennan in a 2-1 win.

The Pineapple's hopes of glory in the open age Lancashire Trophy failed at the first hurdle as they were soundly beaten 6-1 at Topham FC in Rochdale.
