THE funeral of a man who was killed in an horrific road accident will take place next week.
William Colloff, aged 39, died after his van was hit when a lorry crossed the central reservation on the M61 near Farnworth, on Monday, September 18.
He had bought a house in Green Meadows, Westhoughton, four weeks before the accident and was planning to move in with his fiancee Lisa Dootson.
Mr Colloff, who was a financial advisor, was on his way to see Mrs Dootson when the crash happened.
The couple met in Westhoughton two-and-a-half years ago through a mutual friend, and Mrs Dootson told The Bolton News that her life had been torn apart by the tragedy.
Mr Colloff was originally from Todmorden in Yorkshire. His funeral will take place Rochdale Crematorium, Bury Road, Rochdale on Monday, October 9, at 11.50am.
