THIS weekend Sam Allardyce sees a number of his Wanderers head for Europe, Africa and Asia on international duty, as the Premiership takes another break.

Stelios is in the Greek squad to face Norway in the Euro 2008 qualifier in Athens, with the home side at evens to win, although a more tempting bet would be a 2-1 success at 7/1.

Goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen heads to the Caucuses to hopefully see Finland through to victory over Armenia. For him to keep a clean sheet and the Finns to win 2-0 I'm giving 11/2.

Israeli pair Idan Tal and Tal Ben Haim travel to Moscow to take on the Russians, with the draw at 11/5 and a 2-1 away win at 18/1.

El-Hadji Diouf and Abdoulaye Faye are in African Nations Cup action with Senegal in the Group G game against Bukina Faso, while Abdoulaye Meiti is included in Ivory Coast's squad to take on Gabon in their Group A game.

Back home Ascot hosts the pick of this weekend's racing action with a couple of group races and a listed race thrown in for good measure.

First up is the Group Three Willmott Dixon Cornwallis Stakes, packed full of promising two-year-olds including Enticing, who is unbeaten in her age group.

She can be forgiven for her poor showing last time out as she was well out of her depth when well beaten in the Nunthorpe stakes at York, but that run will have given her valuable experience at a top level and I'd fully expect her to be in the reckoning this time.

The other Group Three at 2.45 is a very intriguing race with many of the runners having big race entries for next season to their name.

The well-bred Mark Johnson horse Dubai's Touch, who is 50/1 for next year's 2000 Guineas, is probably the pick of the bunch.

His sire won this in 1997 and connections would like nothing more to get this title back in the family.
