HAVING relocated from their Penzance home last season to Truro, in an effort to garner support from across Cornwall, Sedgley's visitors tomorrow, the Cornish Pirates, found it tough at the top, and finished third behind Bedford and Harlequins.

However, when the Tigers visited the Pirates, the Cornishmen were in no mood to be too welcoming and gave them short shrift, blowing them away 58-3. But the return fixture in March saw revenge well and truly gained, with the Tigers running in worthy 31-21 victors.

So far this season the Pirates have taken to their new temporary home at Camborne RFC very well, so far winning all three home league games. But on their travels they have so far lost twice.

Scrum-half-turned-winger Rhodri McAtee currently leads the Pirates' try race with four touchdowns, but the undoubted lynchpin is stand-off, Alberti Di Bernardo.

l Sedgley Park Under-15s produced a thrilling 24-20 victory over Pwllheli.

Sedgley scored on their first visit to opposition territory. Sam Purvis scored in the corner, a try which Alex Riley converted.

Pwllheli then levelled before Louis Singleton's downfield kick was well chased by Jamie Laddin. Under pressure, Pwllheli tried to run out of defence but lost possession and prop Riley scored in the right corner, adding the conversion with another fine kick.

The Welshmen again drew level but Riley put the home side ahead 17-14 with a penalty goal just before half-time.

Pwllheli's excellent stand-off kicked a couple of penalties and Park's only relief came from a wonderful 40m run by full-back Danny Kay.

With time running out and the home team trailing 20-17, Ashley Robinson scored direct from a scrum and Riley's conversion was the last kick.
