THE refurbished St George’s House will be officially reopened today after a £1.5 million restoration.
The building in St George’s Road dates from 1908 and was formerly the NHS Prescription Pricing Authority.
Now commercial developer Python Properties has transformed the five-storey building into offices with an art gallery and bistro.
Dave Singleton, chairman of the board at Bolton Lads and Girls Club and Keith Davies, Bolton Council’s director of development and regeneration, will open it at a ceremony attended by about 200 professionals, political and regeneration figures from across the North West.
The event runs from 11.30am to 1.15pm.
Python Properties partner Martin Johnson said: “St George’s House will be a superb place to work. It is a building that the public can enjoy due to its central position in the town, its art gallery and bistro.”
