LEIGH RMI are looking to Lee Unsworth to provide much-needed experience and help revitalise their season.

The former Bury and Crewe utility player, who has been on the sidelines after leaving Hyde last season, joined RMI this week and the 33-year-old could make his first team home debut against bottom club Scarborough tomorrow.

"He is a versatile player who can play in midfield or at the back and his experience is invaluable," said manager Stuart Humphreys. "All games are tough in this division and Scarborough do not give much away, but I will be looking to get something out of the match and put daylight between us."

Steve Settle and Andy Roscoe are available after injury but winger Lee Shillito has joined Mossley, while Gareth Stoker has moved to Wakefield as player-coach. Scarborough started the season with a 10-point deduction after going into administration and are 12 points behind Leigh. A victory for RMI would put them five wins ahead of the Yorkshiremen, a massive fillip if they are to avoid relegation.

Leigh have lost their last two games, away at Worksop in the league which followed a disappointing FA Cup exit to Unibond League, side Woodley Sports.
