Bolton Under-14s suffered a disappointment in the Greater Manchester Schools' League when they went down 4-0 to Manchester at The Arena on Saturday.
Bury Under-14s also disappointed when they lost 2-0 to Oldham in another Greater Manchester Schools' League match.
Oldham edged ahead on the hour mark through Niall Swanwick before putting the game beyond Bury with a Joe Heap strike five minutes from time.
Bury Under-15s fared better with a narrow 3-2 victory against Oldham.
