RESIDENTS hit by a road closure yesterday are being reminded it will be in place again next weekend.
Darwen Road, from Blackburn Road to Rose Hill Drive, in Bromley Cross, was closed for carriageway patching.
It was necessary for the road to be closed for work to be carried out and a signed diversion was in place.
The closure will return next Sunday as the work continues.
The council has apologised for the inconvenience and asked residents for patience.
Access to properties will be maintained where possible and the council has said it will keep inconvenience to a minimum.
People are asked to not try and gain entry to the working area and to keep an eye on children near the work.
