THE eighth Big Bolton Business Expo 2018 takes place in April when hundreds of delegates are expected at The Bridge Conference Centre.

The prestigious annual event, organised by business marketing and support organisation thebestofbolton, is on Tuesday, April 24 from 4.30pm to 8pm.

More than 60 exhibitors are already booked in and, as they have done in previous Expos, the organisers are allocating 10 stands to local charities and voluntary organisations to allow them to connect positively with the business community and raise their profile.

Bolton College is the Expo’s headline sponsor for the first time with solicitors Fieldings Porter, Bolton Lock and SureStore all event sponsors. Bridge Coffee is the tea/coffee sponsor, Delicious Catering is the supper sponsor, Corner House sponsors the promotional cards, Shipley Creative the show guides and RRG Group is the car park sponsor.

At previous Expos, local businesses have not only showcased their products and services but also connected with other businesses, leading to lucrative contracts. This year, exhibitors range from local tradesmen and car dealerships to professional services and home and lifestyle businesses.

Commented Gaynor Ramsden, co-owner of thebestofbolton with husband David: “We’re delighted at the fantastic response from local businesses again this year but, in particular, to be almost sold out to exhibitors so far in advance of the Expo shows just how important this event has become in the Bolton business calendar.

“We’d also like to thank all the sponsors of the Big Bolton Business Expo without whom it would not be possible to allow delegates to attend free of charge.”

Entry to the event is free for those who pre-book on Eventbrite at www.thebestofbolton.eventbrite.com otherwise there will be a charge of £15 on the door on the day.

Added Mr Ramsden: “This Expo is always an accurate reflection of how the local business community is faring and – as we have found at previous events – Bolton is plainly a very vibrant town in which to do business.”
