POLICE are trying to trace a Bolton man wanted in connection with an attempted murder and assault.

Officers are hoping to find Devenn Sutherman, from Nelson Square, after a man and a woman were stabbed in the Hindley area on Christmas Day.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said Sutherman, aged 25, was 'actively evading police' and all efforts to trace him have been unsuccessful.

People have been warned not to approach him.

Anyone with information about Sutherman’s whereabouts should contact police on 0161 856 7225 or 101.

Any report can also be made anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
