TWO men have appeared in court charged in connection with robberies in Bolton town centre.

Sohail Ali and Abdul Malik Said, both aged 18, have been charged with two counts of robbery and false imprisonment, relating to two separate incidents on April 12.

The pair have also been charged with two counts of false imprisonment and fraud by false representation.

Said, of Langdon Close, Bolton has also been charged with being in possession of a passport belonging to another with intent.

He and Ali, of Pleasant Gardens, appeared at Bolton Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.

They spoke only to confirm their personal details during the hearing, and were both remanded in custody to appear at Bolton Crown Court on May 16.
