POLICE are looking for a man who collapsed in Farnworth on Friday, they believe he may need urgent medical attention.
Just before midnight yesterday evening police were called to the Market Hotel in Brackley Street, by the ambulance service after a man had fallen ill.
The man was able to stand up after initial treatment but collapsed a short time later.
He was again treated by paramedics and was able to stand up but collapsed a further time.
Prior to officers arriving, the man had left the area and although he was seen on CCTV walking from Brackley Street to King Street, efforts to find him have been unsuccessful.
The man, who may be called Jay, is described as white with short brown hair and was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms, a dark jacket with a grey hooded top underneath and black and white Nike trainers.
Inspector Jackie Cullinane of GMP’s Bolton Borough, said: “It’s so important that we find this man as soon as we possibly can to make sure he gets the medical attention he needs.
“I appreciate the detail we have is minimal but I need everyone’s eyes and ears open and anyone who knows who he is or where he is, is to call us immediately or make sure he gets to the nearest hospital.”
