Bags of rubbish after litter pick at Old Station Park in Horwich
THE next community litter pick in Horwich will take place on Saturday, February 24.
The date was decided after Horwich First Community Group held a public vote on its Facebook page.
It will be held from 10am until noon but members are asking the public to recommend a location that is in need of cleaning.
The announcement came after the community collected 49 bags of rubbish from Old Station Park last month as well as larger items including a carpet, a pram and a tyre.
The 20-strong group also found two knives close to the children's play area, one of which an eight-inch chefs knife that was handed into police.
