Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he received a letter from the Royal family before Queen Elizabeth II passed away.

The Manchester United footballer joined Piers Morgan in an explosive TalkTV interview that has begun to air this week.

Ronaldo’s son recently passed away and in the interview, he was seen telling Morgan that the royal family sent a letter to him as he grieved.

“I received a letter from the Queen’s family as well”, Ronaldo said, adding that it came as a surprise.

He was also supported by fans of clubs such as Liverpool who sang ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ during the seventh minute of their next game to show support to Ronaldo who wears the number seven shirt for Manchester United.

Expressing his gratitude for the support he received in such a difficult time, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner said: “Thank you to the English community that helped me in that moment.”

The interview comes as Ronaldo’s return has turned sour and in previous excerpts of the interview, the professional footballer said he did not respect manager Erik ten Hag.

Cristiano Ronaldo has also claimed a number of individuals at United were trying to force him out of the club.

The 37-year-old revealed that he almost signed for Manchester City but went with his heart and resigned for Manchester United instead.
