Cadbury has announced it will be bringing back its Dairy Milk Coins this Christmas after a decade of being away from supermarket shelves.

Chocolate lovers who have missed being able to buy these coins don’t have too much longer to wait.

The coins were discontinued in 2014 which Cadbury said caused widespread outrage from chocolate lovers across the UK.

This year though, Cadbury won’t be called Scrooge again as it brings the treat back to shelves across the country.

The coins are made from Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Chocolate and they’re now available in both a Festive Net (£1.99) and a Moneytin (£6.99).

It’s important to note that retailers are able to set their own prices and Cadbury’s coins will be available in stores from September.

Katie Hill, Junior Brand Manager for Cadbury, said: “If you cast your mind back to 2014, you may remember that Cadbury caused disappointment across the nation, as we announced the sad discontinuation of our much-loved Chocolate Coins.

“We’ve listened to customer feedback and we’re thrilled to be able to finally announce we’ll be bringing back this beloved holiday treasure this year – a product which represents festive joy and delicious nostalgia for so many.”
