A drama series serving as a spin-off to the acclaimed 2021 film Boiling Point is set to arrive on the BBC very soon.

The film, which starred Stephen Graham, was all shot in one take and showed the chaos of trying to run a professional kitchen in a London restaurant.

Graham's character Andy nearly met his death at the end of the film, but does return for the series, albeit in a reduced role.

Instead, the spin-off from the film will focus on Andy's former sous chef Carly (Vinette Robinson) as she sets up a new venture as head chef of Point North.

Many of the team from Carly and Andy's former restaurant, Jones & Sons, have also joined her at Point North, whilst a whole host of new characters will also be in the mix.

The series will encompass the many problems of running a restaurant in a modern climate, including having to deal with the ever-increasing cost of supplies and the cost of living crisis itself which leaves many of the staff struggling.
