An Emmerdale star has been spotted on set ahead of her return to the show 20 years after she left.
Patsy Kensit has already been in touch with her co-stars ahead of her return to the soap later in the year.
The actress will be coming back to the Dales to reprise her role as Sadie King, after spending two years on the show from 2004.
Patsy has said she is “really excited” to be playing Sadie again after her dramatic exit in 2006.
Who was Sadie King in Emmerdale?
Sadie King arrived in Emmerdale by helicopter to join her husband Jimmy to celebrate his father Tom King’s 65th birthday.
Her biggest storyline involved a romance with Cain Dingle and a plan to kidnap Tom and steal £5 million.
Cain ended up double-crossing Sadie and took the money, leaving her at an airfield.
Sadie then left Emmerdale by driving off in her car on her own.
In a statement after her return was announced, Patsy said: “I am really excited to return to Emmerdale.
“I treasure the years I was here before.
“Sadie King is a character that I really loved playing.
“The cast and crew are absolutely brilliant and I am so grateful for the chance to return to the show, it’s absolutely amazing.”
Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw said: "We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Patsy Kensit back to the cast, and crucially to see the iconic Sadie King storm back into the village.
“Her return will be explosive and guaranteed to shock.
“Sadie’s seductive demeanour, combined with her utterly ruthless nature, are set to deliver a spectacular and highly dramatic touch of class to the Yorkshire Dales.”
When will Sadie King return to Emmerdale?
Patsy has not started filming for the show yet, but it has been revealed that she has already done some photoshoots with the cast.
The exact date Sadie King will be coming back to the show has yet to be confirmed.
Fans of the soap have taken to Reddit to share their thoughts on the news, with one user saying: “I loved her rivalry with Charity.
“I would love to see her back IMO.”
Another said: “Excited by her return, best comeback in years.”
