Fire crews had to use cutting gear to free trapped motorists after a crash on a busy stretch of road.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Colne Road, Burnley just before 9pm on Friday.
One person was helped from the car by firefighters while other crew members assisted in cutting the vehicle to free the other passenger.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Crews were in attendance approximately 40 minutes and the casualty was left in the care of paramedics."
Colne Road was closed while the incident was dealt with, and reopened around midnight.
