SCHOOL chiefs have warned parents to keep their children safe after reports of two pupils being approached by a man in a white van.
Parents of children at Peel Park Primary School in Accrington were sent text messages this morning warning them to be 'vigilant' following the report.
The text read: “We have been informed by another primary school two children were approached this morning by a man in a white van, please be vigilant, thank you.”
It is not known which school made the initial complaint.
One parent, whose seven-year-old daughter goes to the school, said: "It's a concern. You hear about this sort of thing more and more - it's a worry when you send your kids off to school."
It comes after a student was reportedly chased by a man in white van in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport on Wednesday afternoon.
