PLANS have been approved to turn the ground floor of a former bank branch into a cafe.

A change-of-use planning application to convert the former Royal Bank of Scotland site on High Street in Golborne in a cafe was given the green light by Wigan Council last week.

The proposals for the 19th century end of terrace building that have been granted also include the first floor office being turned into accommodation.

No objections were made to the application, which was submitted to the local authority by JWP 24 Ltd.
