A MAJOR road has been closed off after a horror crash.
Police have cordoned off Manchester Road in Accrington close to the Victoria Hotel.
Witnesses said paramedics were giving one man CPR in the street.
It is understood at least one person is seriously injured.
The road is expeceted to be closed for several hours between Haworth Park and Oakhill Park.

Police said there had been a serious collision on the road. The incident happened around 6pm.
There are unconfirmed reports that the crash involved a pizza delivery driver.

A spokesman said: "We are currently at the scene of a serious collision on Manchester Road in Accrington.
"The road is expected to be closed for several hours. We would advise motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes if possible.
"Many thanks in advance for your cooperation."
Police said earlier: "Due to a serious crash on Manchester Road, Accrington, the road is closed.
"Diversion using Hollins Lane / Royds Avenue will avoid this closure. Please be patient as emergency crews work at the scene."

The Lancashire Telegraph traffic update report states: "A680 Manchester Road both ways closed, queueing traffic due to accident from Hollins Lane to Newton Drive.
"Road was closed shortly after 6pm. Accident happened near to the Victoria Hotel."
