A MUM and daughter have led tributes to their "beautiful friend" and hospital colleague who has died.

Brenda Williams, who lived in Leigh and worked as a domestic cleaner at the Royal Bolton Hospital for years, passed away suddenly yesterday, Wednesday, at the age of 51.

Sharron Robinson, 50, and her daughter Ella Gee, 20, worked with her.

Liverpool-born grandmother Brenda and Sharron celebrated their 50th birthdays together in a holiday in Portugal last year in which a group of 11 friends including colleagues such as Ella went on.

Sharron, a reception supervisor on the porters and main desk, said: "No words can explain how much of a beautiful friend Brenda was.

"God has gained the most caring funny loveable angel he will ever summon to his kingdom.

"I'm going to miss our little giggles at work, nights out with shots of ice cubes and

phone calls that we just laughed and cried until it hurt.

"The only thing now is that its hurting because I'm crying for you and it will never be the same without you here.

"You have touch so many hearts in your short life and I've been blessed to have you in mine."

Ella, a receptionist at the hospital's main desk, has also expressed her grief following Brenda's passing.

She said: "My heart is broken.

"I can’t even put into words or describe how me and my mum both feel.

"And many many others too I’m sure.

"As a few of you are already aware today we had the most heartbreaking news that our Brenda Lee Williams has sadly passed away.

"I am absolutely devastated to be losing not only a best friend, but also my auntie and work mum all in one."

"No-one will ever compare to you Brenda, you was so beautiful and pure inside and out.

"I never met a single person who had a bad word to say about you. You was loved and cherished by so many.

"You had the heart of an angel and now you’ve gained your wings.

"Oh how I’m gonna miss you and your crazy scouse accent.

"I will cherish every memory I’ve had with you.

"I’m going to miss you so much, I’ll look after my mum even more now for you, now that you’re not here to do it.

"This has taught me one thing it’s never to take your loved ones for granted.

"Always message them even just once.

Say 'I love you'. Ring them.

See them if you can. Because you never know when that last “I love you” will be."

Porters at the hospital, who regularly chatted at the porters lodge with Brenda, said: "Brenda was an amazing character - one of the best, hard at work and always up for a laugh.

"She used to brighten up any room she walked in and always had a smile on her face and always had time for anyone in need.

"Brenda will be sadly missed by all at the Royal Bolton Hospital."
