MORE than 600 properties in Tyldesley were hit by a power cut overnight.
Electricity North West sent engineers at around 1.30am after being made aware of a fault affecting more than 600 properties in the area.
By 2.40am power had been restored to more than half of the homes, with 284 properties still left without electricity.
An Electricity North West spokesperson said power had been restored to all those affected by 5am.
They said: "The power has now been restored to the area.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience throughout the fault."
