AN APPEAL is under way to find missing therapy cat Oliver, who was last seen 35 days ago on Juniper Croft, Clayton-le-Woods, Chorley.

Owner Kristen Remmer is offering a £500 reward for anyone who can find her beloved pet, who went missing shortly before his fourth birthday.

Oliver is described as fluffy blue-grey, is microchipped and neutered and requires regular medical attention.

Ms Remmer said: “Because he’s a therapy cat he’s usually by my side all the time.

“That’s why even after he’d only been gone for five hours, I knew straight away that something was wrong.”

Oliver was last seen on 9 July by a neighbour.

Ms Renner said: “He was last seen leaving our garden and going into the woods.

“I didn’t see him, but a neighbour did and he’s almost certain it was Oliver.”

Ms Remmer, suffers from chronic pains due to a spinal injury in 1991 and has difficulty walking.

Oliver was a great comfort to her as she battled her disability, making his disappearance all the more devastating.

However, Ms Remmer has been able to enlist the help of her partner Nick, their friends and neighbours, along with animal rescue charity Harvey’s Army who have used thermo detection equipment in the woods behind her garden and sniffer dogs from canine services company K9 ProSearch.

Together they have found other missing cats along the way, who they have helped take to cat rescue centres and reunite with owners.

Oliver meanwhile may be anywhere in the local area or may have wandered further afield and may be found up a tree or in a garden shed or other hard to reach areas.

Ms Remmer and friends have also produced the heartbreaking video that can be viewed above and they recommend that people with CCTV footage should check for any sign of him.
