THIEVES smashed their way into vehicles and stole items including bank cards, money and tools, police have said.
Officers said there were cases of thefts from vehicles in Hindley in the early hours.
In a statement on Friday, the GMP Leigh, Atherton & Hindley Facebook page said: "We have had a number of theft from motor vehicle offences reported recently.
"Offenders have smashed the windows of vehicles making off with the contents.
"This has occurred in the early hours. Items including bank cards, driving licences, cash and tools have all been removed from vehicles.
"Please be aware of the above and please do not to leave any valuable items in view. Park your car within a lit area if possible and if you have CCTV please let us know so we can put a stop to this ASAP".
