The pub has released a statement saying that they will remain closed for the day to create a 'new plan to provide our real customers with a safe and enjoyable environment'.
On social media, a spokesperson for the pub said: "We are deeply concerned by the events which occurred in and around our pub last night that have affected our customers, team and local residents.
"We sincerely hope that anyone who was harmed is going to be ok and we apologise to all the residents we know this has affected.
“Over the last 12 months, we have done everything possible to keep our pub open when permitted and invested in both Covid-safe measures and increased safety and security.
"Nevertheless, it seems individuals want to visit us without respecting all the rules in place and this is completely unacceptable.
"For this reason, the marquee will be closed today and we will be focussing all our efforts on creating a new plan to provide our real customers with a safe and enjoyable environment."
Police are appealing for any witnesses or videos of the incident by dialling 101 and quoting log number LC-20210515-1610.
