LEIGH Centurions will be without brave forward Nathan Mason after he suffered a gruesome compound fracture of his ring finger against Wigan.
Mason, 27, was rushed to hospital at half-time, kept in overnight and feared he would need surgery.
Medics, however, were able to place the broken bone back into the skin and the one-time Huddersfield youngster is now on the mend.
No timescale has been placed on his return, but he will certainly miss the Huddersfield clsh.
