A BREWERY has been denied permission to carry out work on a listed high street pub.
Joseph Holt brewery had applied to rebuild three chimney stacks at The White Lion in Westhoughton as well as carrying out various other repairs to the Grade II-listed building in Market Street.
Planning officers at Bolton Council refused the application on the grounds that not enough information had been provided by the applicant.
