BOLTON Harriers’ will host their annual 10K race on April 21 at Leverhulme Park.

Further details about the route, history and how to enter are on the event website at www.bolton10k.org.

Organiser Steve Houghton said: “The dot ORG at the end of the address is important for the official site. We’ve had some issues with the internet domain, so anybody interested should ensure they go to the correct site – it will have 2013 on it and our proper logo!”

The race reached its 750 limit last year, so the club recommends people to enter early.

The race uses chip tags to ensure accurate times and all finishers get a training t-shirt made from technical material.

Anyone wishing to train for the event is invited to the club’s meeting nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm.

Daryl Bentley was first of a trio of Bolton Harriers in the Chernobyl 10K at Preston.

He crossed the line a creditable 47th out of 476 finishers in a time of 41mins 30secs, followed by club-mates Nick Howarth (43:10) and John Grimshaw (51:00).
