FORMER Wanderers keeper Rob Lainton is on trial with Doncaster Rovers.
The newly-promoted Championship club ran the rule over the 23-year-old in a 4-0 friendly victory over Frickley Athletic.
Lainton spent nearly a decade at the Reebok, progressing through the academy, but failed to make the breakthrough into the senior ranks before being released this summer.
