Talk about a difference maker. That Le Fondre would find goals for Wanderers was as close to a sure thing as it’s likely to get in football – and that’s what makes Neil Lennon’s swift bit of business in January all the more impressive.

The Millwall keeper made a couple of good stops to make sure the scoreline stayed respectable, including one acrobatic effort towards the end to keep out Walker’s free kick. Goal difference may be important – but the Lions’ plight does not look good.
